These grants have enabled them to fund innovative projects that not only enhance the classroom experience beyond the standard curriculum but also significantly impact students' learning journeys.

Heather Rich at Bethlehem School was awarded a $1,500 grant to bring new student Chromebooks to her classroom; this new technology will enhance student engagement through interactive digital materials and create a seamless, consistent learning experience from kindergarten to graduation.

Lindsay Cooper at Bonifay K-8 was awarded a $3,000 grant to enhance the robotics program through hands-on, collaborative, and mobile STEAM learning technology designed to help students solve real-world problems through collaboration, coding, and critical thinking.

Penny Jones at Bonifay K-8 was awarded a $3,000 grant to implement a STEAM Innovation Station in her classroom—immersive, hands-on rotational centers that challenge students to bring their science, math, and innovation skills to life by solving real-world problems while adhering to constraints, budgets, and design goals.
The 2027 “Make-A-Splash” Classroom Grant program will open for applications in February 2027.
All teachers in Holmes, Jackson, North Walton, and Washington counties are eligible to apply for a portion of the grant funding.
